To post the same message to two or more newsgroups (or forums)
separately.When multi-posting the same message is posted to one
newsgroup (or forum) and then posted to
another newsgroup (or forum).
When posting to forums multi-posting is often the only way to submit the
same message to multiple forums.
However, when posting to newsgroups (usenet)
multi-posting is generally frowned upon. For newsgroups it is considered
better etiquette to cross-post (where the
same message is sent to multiple newsgroups and a reply in any one newsgroup
will propagate to all the other newsgroups where the message was posted.)
