To post the same message to two or more newsgroups at the same time.
When cross-posting, a single message is posted to two or more newsgroups at
the same time. The message has tagged with it which newsgroups it was posted
to, which allows any reply to be sent to the same set of newsgroups. This
means that any reply will be visible in each of the newsgroups that the
message was originally sent to.
